I come from a long line of foam packing peanut carvers. My great, great Grandfather from England, Ralph Mitten Porter, was the first person to ever carve foam packing peanuts by hand, out of giant blocks of foam. The skilled trade of foam packing peanut carving has since been passed down through the generations to me. It is a bit tedious, time consuming and not real lucrative since it only pays a couple pennies on the pound, but a very rewarding profession. Especially when you realize that your nuts have touched many people in some way or another!
