I've been away for a while. Partly because I moved back from Korea to NZ and partly because I stopped getting the editred notifications even though I signed up for them.
<b>About me</b>
My Name is Andrew Rutherford I am a New Zealander currently living in ...New Zealand!
As philosophy graduate from the University of Otago my interests are intellectual; Ideas, politics and social theories.
I have written a manuscript which I hope can become a book.
The potential book is currently at the stage that I'm receiving feedback from people about it in order to make any final changes, but I am interested in any commercial propositions regarding it also.
<b>About the book</b>
The book as it stands is a series of essays and other writings that chronicles a descent into madness and reemergence into an altered world. Because it is quite disparate in its subject, it could be published as articles, but I believe it would be best to be articles to promote the overall book.
The book is intended to take the reader on a chronological journey to the furthest limits of what can be thought and said about the human condition. Because of discovery along the way, it starts in a relatively naive condition and ends on a more mature one.
Its locations include; New Zealand, London and Hong Kong.
It has been called "both disturbing and amusing"
Depending on who you are. It has the potential to shock you and completely change your view of the world or alternatively seem paranoid and unnecessarily censored.
It is in fact censored, and much of what is censored is still within the text in 'censored form'.
Part of what prompted its release was the publication of The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Hait, as I feared that someone else would get there first.
It bears little resemblance to The Happiness Hypothesis, but instead is closer in styling and content to Nietzsche, Andre Gide, Carlos Castanedia and Will Self.
I can sum up by saying that the book is quite unlike any of other text (that I know about). Whether it is publishable is another question.
==Technical and other considerations==
I have uploaded some password protected PDFs to my website which you can read if you become a 'reader' part of the reason for this is that it says that html tags are accepted on the text whereas infact they don't seem to be.
Also I want to manage who views my work. One of the main reasons I'm promoting it is just so that it is known in the future that 'I got there first'.
I am also looking for comments on how I can improve it/make it more clear. So that's what I want from anybody who might wish to become a reader.
