I'm a graduate student at Mississippi State University getting a masters in English with a concentration in creative writing. I've been in Mississippi all my life; I reckon I'm as Southern as they come and that shows up in every word I write. I like to believe that people are good and that some day I'll find the perfect man and that all dogs go to heaven...but most days I question my whole belief system. I'm finding out that my strengths (as far as writing goes) are in writing about people I knew and places I've been and stories I've told a million times. I may not make it up, but I can tell you a hell of a story. And if I can keep you laughing or thinking or both, then I'm happy, 'cause that's all I was after.
