I grew up thinking I wanted nothing more than to be a writer. When I was 9, I wrote my grandmother's childhood memoirs and gave them to her for Christmas. I even illustrated the booklet, which was kind of bad form since a lot of the campfire stories I'd based it on had to do with her brothers scaring her while she was using the outhouse.
I grew up, went to college, got married, got a day job, hated the day job, was too lazy to write my way out of it, bought a house, got a divorce, and fell in love again. I'm still too scared of not paying the bills to give up the day job, but I daydream of life as a working writer just the same. And I want to expand my writing horizon beyond outhouses.
I live in the Baltimore area with my boyfriend and two ferrets.
sixweasels's Genres: Creative non-fiction and short stories, although I hope to work my way up to a novel. Humor writing. The occasional article on career development and management.
