Tony Downing is a single parent of two adult children and grandparent to one. His interests are philosophy, writing fiction, the paranormal and playing musical instruments (mainly acoustic guitar).
He has various teaching qualifications and has written lectures of poetry for the Workers Educational Association and Performing Arts students. He holds a BA (Hons.) Professional Writing degree.
His first success as a writer was in poetry, having been accepted for anthologies and various small press publications in the UK. Today much of his new material is written for internet poetry sites.
Script writing (radio/screenplays) and short stories are also high on his list of interests.
