Stephanie N. Anderson is an English major at Austin Peay State University, with a minor in Creative Writing. Her poetry has been published in several print and online magazines, including Volume Magazine, Eclectica Magazine, Decanto, Clean Sheets, Poetry Monthly and Poetic Hours Magazine.
Stephanie's writing seeks to depict the subjective emotions and responses that objects and events arouse in the human heart, bringing humanity in touch with the depth of their emotion. She is inspired most by the Eastern European poets, such as Nina Cassian, Nichita Stanescu, Anna Akhmatova, Olga Berggolts, Bella Akhmadulina, Natalya Gorbanevskaya, Yevgeny Yevteshenko and Marina Tsvetaeva.
Besides writing poetry, Stephanie is the mother of a beautiful two year old boy, Jude, and she tutors high school Math. She lives in Tennessee.
Her career aspirations include owning a small press with her fellow editor, April Bratten, as well as working at home as a freelance writer.
