Walker Joe Jackson is a "Sweet Onion" born in Vidalia, Georgia. He has written fourteen books, numerous short stories and some articles. When Jackson moved to Florida, his physical condition was pitiful. He weighed 238 pounds. Desiring to improve his health, he started playing tennis and riding a bike. After six months, he'd loss 53 pounds. No, he didn't change his diet or starve himself. Love of tennis attracted him to the Wimbledon Tournament. He enjoyed the first visit immensely and returned six more times. Thinking his experiences were unique and that tennis fans would enjoy reading his adventures, he narrated them. The write hooked him on the craft. Kicked out of the nest at 18 Jackson joined the US Air Force and saw half of the world. He served his country during the Korean Situation -- funny name for a war isn't it? After serving eight months of Harry Truman's year (enlistment extension), he headed for Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned a BS in engineering. That was a tough roe to hoe. He worked days and went to night school, but he got the job done. After graduating, he worked many years for Pratt and Whitney and General Electric. He plans to write until his mind fades and the keys vanish. His legacy will grow. Red beans and ricely,
