I am originally from BC, and now live in NB. I am an army wife, a role that has enabled me to live in many parts of Canada.
I don't have much in the way of formal education - in fact I dropped out of high school. However, I have taken courses on occasion, and I have always read a great deal. I guess that I would consider myself to be self-taught in the ways of living - and writing.
Because of my many moves, I have adapted my skills countless times in order to find employment, and have worked as waitress, accounting clerk, graphic artist, the list goes on; I did what needed to be done in order to contribute to the pot. Because my spouse was often away, I was essentially a single parent much of the time. Now, however, our son is twenty, and on his own adventure.
During my life, my literary endeavors have been limited to occasional editing at work and a one year stint with a community paper. Although I have always enjoyed creating, chopping, and reassembling the written form, I didn’t always have enough time to truly get into something substantial. I always thought that I would write a book - someday.
There you go, that is my life in a very tiny nutshell.
