I write in an effort to keep myself aware of my surroundings no matter how strange they become. Actually, after a decade and a half of dedicated self denial, I looked in the mirror and didn't see too much there. I often wonder why it took me this long to decide that I really still had something to say. Could it be that I am all grown up now? Nah! Don't think so.
I write mostly poetry, a few short stories, and an essay or two if I get ticked off enough. The current condition of the world amazes me and while my commentary may seem meaningless to some, at least it allows me to get it out of my system.
I believe that God is real, children are worth the effort, and that humanity still has a chance if we don't take ourselves too seriously.
I also believe that you do not have the right to complain unless you make an honest, active effort to change things- no matter how small your efforts may seem.
