I was born in Vidin at the Danube river.
When I was five I travelled with my parents to India, where I learned English and Russian, lived for four years, saw Taj Mahal and fell in love with the country.
I have a Master's Degree in International Relations from the Sofia University of Economics.
I have worked as a tour guide, interpreter, diplomat and marketing manager.
I started writing poems in high school but then quit realising how limited my life experience is.
I am a member of the New Zealan Storyteller's Guild and have published a series of children's books based on folktales from the Balkans which you can see on www.ellefun.com
