When I was younger
They told me I could be
All I could be.

This greatly pleased me.

Then I grew up
And the first thing I did
Was give it up.

Now I'm a bit older
I revisit dreams like
You might visit the old dear
Who lived
Down the road from you
And as you knock
You hope she isn't
Dead.
